As scary as this can be I want you to know no matter how broken you feel, and how seemingly unlikely it is, we are never too broken to heal.” Jonathan Van Ness

Welcome! Whether you are brand new to therapy, or are continuing on in your journey, I’m so thrilled that you’re here! You’re in the right place. Sometimes the speed bumps in life leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, sad, confused, questioning... well, you get the point! Therapy can be the push we need to get over the bumps, find our blind spots, do a little maintenance, and keep on moving on our journey towards personal growth and fulfillment.

My goal is to help you discover and build upon the tools and supports that you already have to overcome your challenges and live your best authentic life! Therapy can be a powerful way to explore, to process, to question with curiosity, to grow, and to heal. Whatever challenging situation you may find yourself in—a loss of a family member, a job or relationship; or feeling constantly overwhelmed, anxious, and stressed—know that you’re not alone!

We will tag-team together: Like the captain of a ship, you will take command of your therapeutic journey, and we will work with whatever you choose to bring into the room. You drive the ship as the expert of your own life experience and will make the decisions that feel right for you. I will act as a guide, bringing clinical knowledge and training, and a safe, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed space to process and heal, and warmth and compassion to help discover new insights and awareness to keep you afloat on your journey. And together we will navigate the challenging waters, looking at the tip of the iceberg and what’s under the surface!

Every therapeutic journey is different, so let’s tailor our time together to make it work best and be practical for YOU! Many folks find the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion to be particularly helpful. We will look at the stories that we tell ourselves about our experiences and look at the relationship between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and changes you may want to make when those negative thoughts or behaviors are no longer serving you or helping you move towards your goals. We will look at ways to stay mindful, observant, and non-judgmental of our experiences.

If you’re thinking about working together, it might be helpful to know a little about me. I received my Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin with a clinical concentration. I’ve worked with adults, adolescents, children and families in settings including mental health clinics, schools and residential treatment programs here in Austin and in Los Angeles County. As someone who has greatly benefited from her own therapeutic journey and has witnessed the growth of so many clients, I have a deep appreciation for therapy’s ability to help us learn about ourselves and grow. I whole-heartedly believe in the importance of self-care and balance, and I take care of myself through spending time outdoors and in nature, and taking my tiny fur baby, Bucky, on long walks!
