"You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." - Martin Luther King Jr

Hi there, my name is Sharin. First off, I’d like to say I am glad you are here. Deciding to explore options for talking with a counselor can be a big step. If you feel like where you are at right now is just not where you would like to be, or maybe there are just so many feelings happening all at once, I can support you in finding a pathway to achieving your goals. Sometimes it is hard to even know what your goals are and I can help you to figure out what it is that you would like to accomplish.

I use a strengths-based relational approach when working with clients. This means that we work together to identify the things that are important for you to accomplish in therapy. You are the expert on you and I am there to support and provide some guidance along the way.

I completed my graduate work at New York University and have over five years of post-graduate experience in the vocational rehabilitation field. I am also a Board Certified Music Therapist and completed a Health Coach certification program with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I enjoy creating new recipes and finding healthier ways to make the unhealthy foods I love. In my free time, I like to be out in nature, playing with my dogs or reading police procedural novels.

If you think my approach may be a good fit for you, please reach out and we can schedule a consultation. Best wishes on your journey.
