“What is truer than truth? Answer: the story.” -Isabel Allende

Welcome. I’m grateful for your step to learn more about what resources might be helpful to you right now. Sometimes life can be overwhelming and circumstances can be too much to carry alone. I would be honored to come alongside you in whatever season you find yourself and see how therapy can support you right now.

My approach to this work is both highly relational and narrative-focused. I believe we make meaning in our lives through the stories we tell ourselves, and I believe we can often re-author our stories in ways that can heal us and help us experience more fulfilling lives.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and have an MA in Clinical Mental Health from Seminary of the Southwest. My emphasis has been on the Latinx/e community as well as the integration of spirituality, faith, and our wellness. I’m available to clients who may want to explore how their ethnic identity formation or how their spirituality can help support their healing. I also work with a variety of clients, but I have extensive experience with young adults and college students.

I am passionate about helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, loss and trauma. I believe therapy can be a sacred space where we are safe to unravel our knotted-up lives and experience more peace as a result. I also hold strongly to the belief that justice and mental health in community are interdependent realities.

A little more about me personally, I am a Mexican American woman who grew up along the border of Texas and still call that space my home. I have lived and traveled around the globe and have found myself planted in Austin Texas now as a mom with two children in high school. I enjoy all good stories so I’m an avid moviegoer. I also find people’s stories infinitely fascinating. I would love to get to know yours too.
