“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” - Brené Brown

Hello there and welcome to Therapy Austin!

I am so proud of you! Finding a therapist can be a daunting task, and I would like to commend you on your courage in taking this first step. Remember, it’s okay not to be okay. Life is not easy; it isn’t supposed to be. Life is meant to be lived.

As your therapist, I aim to create an environment that is safe, warm, supportive and affirming. I strongly believe in joining clients where they are in their journey. Afterall, you are the expert of your own life. Based on my experience as both a client and a counselor, I know first-hand how crucial the therapeutic relationship is in order for treatment to be successful. Therefore, during the early stages of treatment, I focus on creating a collaborative relationship allowing me to get to know you as a special and unique individual. Using various tools and techniques, we can create the long term change and outcome you desire. As humans, we all possess inherent strengths. During our time together, we will build upon these strengths to identify the parts that are no longer serving you.

When working with individuals, couples and families, I utilize various evidence-based modalities, such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy. As a clinician, I have experience working with concerns related to life transitions, relational trauma, attachment and relationship struggles, family of origin and grief. My goal is to assist you in discovering your authentic self while simultaneously creating and fostering healthy relationships with those that matter most to you. A little about me: I received my Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. When I am not practicing, you will find me cooking, exploring the city of Austin and exercising.

I am looking forward to working with you to create a beautiful and healthy life. Remember, life is happening for us, not to us. If you feel we would be a good fit, please do not hesitate to contact me at 512-201-4501 x 358.
