Hi there and welcome!

Whether this is your first time in therapy, or you are picking back up on previous work, deciding you want to pursue therapy and finding a therapist can be a very daunting and overwhelming task. With that being stated, I want to start by commending you for taking these first steps. My name is Cassidy and I am very excited for the opportunity to work with you towards your goals!

As a therapist, I am authentic, genuine, and attentive to my client’s needs. I strive to create an environment that is warm, nonjudgmental, and welcoming. I work from a very collaborative space so I am always open to hearing back from you on any concerns or changes you desire to be made in the therapy room. This is your experience and I want you to receive everything you want from it. In sessions, you will be met with empathy, validation, curiosity, and humor (when deemed appropriate). From here, I will help you explore the strengths you possess and help you reflect upon and make meaning of your experiences. You’ve already got so many strengths within you, even ones you may not yet realize are there! Together we will tackle challenging emotions and situations, while naming your values, needs, and strengths. I deeply believe that everyone has the opportunity for healing and growth, and I would be honored to be able to support you through your journey!

I work with individuals who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or who may not know where to start. I work with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, navigating life transitions, feeling overwhelmed and stressed in many facets of their life, and those who are simply trying to figure out this whole life thing. I use a person-centered approach when counseling and I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and other modalities that best fit my client’s needs.

A little about me! I am from Abilene, Texas and moved to Austin in 2020 to begin my graduate degree. I received my undergraduate degree from Texas Tech (wreck ‘em!) in Psychology and went on to complete my Master’s degree at St. Edward’s University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In my free time you will find me baking, cooking, or trying out new restaurants. I love to eat and in the past few years have really developed a passion for cooking!

If you feel like we’d be a good fit or have any questions for me, please reach out!
