Victoria Davenport Therapy Austin

Victoria Davenport, LPC Associate

she/her/hers

Supervised by Summer Allen, LPC-S

Life is messy, and sometimes therapy is too. My job is to create a safe space for you to process your emotions—whether that’s venting anger that only expletives can capture or finally letting yourself cry the tears you’ve been holding in for years. Sometimes you need to break down before you can start to heal.

I believe empathy, authenticity, and connection are the most powerful tools we have to create change in ourselves. As a therapist, authenticity requires me to be human first, and that includes making jokes and acknowledging missteps to build a genuine relationship with you. Though we may be strangers now, my hope is you will show up as 100% yourself and I promise to do the same.

When life is difficult, it is easy to get stuck in survival mode and lose sight of yourself. You have already shown great resilience in navigating through life’s challenges, and courage by asking for help in diving deeper. You are full of unique strengths that can help you not just survive but truly thrive.

Though I have experience with clients of all different populations and needs, I have especially enjoyed working with LGTBQIA+ and/or neurodiverse identities. You are always in charge of your own therapy, and I will collaborate with you to find the best approach and techniques to create positive change in your life.

My framework is relational-cultural theory, which focuses on empowerment and strengths-based change, while valuing the impact of culture and trauma in our lives. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas State University. Outside of sessions, I love painting, reading, biking, live music, and spending time in nature.

Growth is a lifelong process that is not meant to be walked alone. You deserve to find healing, growth, and connection, and I would be honored to share this part of your journey with you.

If you think you’d like to work together, please reach out. I look forward to getting to know you!
