"There is no one giant step that does it. It’s a lot of little steps.” Peter A. Cohen
Few things can affect our daily lived experiences like mental health issues. Getting unstuck from a rut often means making your mental wellness top priority. If you relate to feeling stuck and confused about what to do; if you crave a deeper sense of certainty around decisions you are making and actions you are taking; or if you are longing for greater self-awareness, you can stop your search—I can help.
In collaboration with you, my goal is to provide a safe space to discuss your motivations and priorities and help you reach solutions that work for you. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or a myriad of other issues, I want to help you put names to your feelings and untangle them so that you can learn to soothe yourself and reclaim the present moment. I will help you discover and put into practice resources which will reacquaint you with your inner strength.
I practice from a person-centered approach and utilize mindfulness as a tool for self-discovery and grounding. I have a strong conviction that the most important aspect of counseling is respect for every individual’s autonomy and unique characteristics. In session with me, you will be fully accepted and fully seen.
Another great joy of mine is in helping couples connect with the values they hold and offering them support and tools for clearer communication and conflict management. It’s important to know what you want in order to ask for what you need. As a clinician, I will help you practice skills that contribute to building a solid foundation of trust, connection, and intimacy in your relationship. I incorporate principles of evidence-based practices from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. My goal is to help you discover and integrate the desires that you and your partner hold (and perhaps struggle to express) so you can learn to live and thrive together.
So, if you feel motivated to step off the path of suffering and struggle, let’s jump in! Please reach out to me by phone at 512/201-4501, ext. 206. I’m looking forward to being present with you as you make headway on your journey toward healing and wholeness.
