Nayrobith "Lisset" Betancourt, LMSW

Trauma is not what happens to you; it is what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you. - Gabor Mate

Welcome! It looks like you are taking the next step in your journey to healing. Perhaps you have tried a couple of things before trying therapy, perhaps this is not your first time trying therapy. Regardless, I welcome you and look forward to connecting with you.

Here is a little more about me.

My name is Lisset Betancourt, and I am a trauma-informed counselor with a focus on cultural-relational and feminist theory. I also have experience in working with individuals struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, stress, and depression as well as PTSD. Additionally, I use a strengths-based approach in my interventions and focus on what’s working versus what is not. I also invite couples who are experiencing issues with communication, trust, or connection. As your therapist, my goal will reside in creating a space that is both authentic and free of judgment. I hope to collaborate with you in order to create a fruitful therapeutic relationship that fosters individual or relational growth. Outside of my role as a counselor, I enjoy fitness and health and spending time with family, my husband and child, as well as my two Dobermans, Frida and Remi. If you are interested in connecting with me, please feel free to reach out to schedule a session!
