Marcos "Sal" Salinas, LPC
I am glad you're taking these brave steps to explore personal growth or seeking clarity for things that don't feel quite right. I am honored and take great pride that you have allowed me to be a part of your journey.
We do not choose to end up where we may be but we do the best to continue to move forward. Therapy for me has provided a safe place to process any struggles, and through a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, we will work together to create change in situations that are in your control. You are the expert of your life and we will work together to make progress towards personal goals.
I work with individuals who are working on all sorts of things, from minor lifestyle adjustments, relationship struggles, to severe mood and anxiety disorders. I’m passionate about working with couples to help process any past hurts and learn to become more vulnerable with one another through an attachment approach which involves us exploring past and current relationship dynamics to identify patterns that help build understanding and acceptance within the relationship . As a client, you will be receiving therapy from a holistic approach with incorporated concepts of Adlerian and Ego State therapy. I focus on the value and belief that people as individuals should be validated, connected, and made to feel significant. I also believe each person has what it takes within to overcome their hurts and live the best life possible.
I have a Master of Education Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Purdue University Fort Wayne. I have experience working with individual clients on issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, and life challenges. I also provide couples counseling to help with communication skills and rebuilding trust and compassion within the relationship.
