“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” -Carl Rogers

Reaching out for help when we need it can be daunting. By simply reviewing this page, you have already taken that first step. I would be honored to help you take the next step and beyond.

I firmly believe that every one of us is born with inherent worth, strengths, and gifts. Sometimes what happens to us on life’s journey interferes with our ability to see those. Sometimes our self-worth seems elusive or lacking altogether. I have a passion for helping clients reclaim that self-worth and capitalize on those valuable strengths and gifts. Whether you have been struggling with substance use, behavioral addictions, compulsive behaviors, codependency, anxiety, depression, or any of life’s challenging transitions, I would love to help you break through those self-defeating thoughts and counterproductive behaviors to once again (or perhaps for the very first time) own and celebrate your worth and strengths.

I help clients achieve this by treating each client as an individual with unique values and needs. I work collaboratively with you to help you identify your goals and the best way to reach them. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, secure, valued, and heard. I often use techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. I am open to incorporating spirituality in therapy if the client seeks it. I am warm, empathetic, and affirming and take a non-judgmental, open-minded stance with my clients. I also appreciate the value of humor in therapy. Laughter sometimes is one of the best medicines!

I came to being a therapist after 20+ years working in business and walking on my own path of personal growth. I work with clients who are healing from addictions, codependency, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, depression, and anxiety. I also help clients seeking clarity on career and life transitions.

I have been honored to walk with each of my clients on their unique paths of personal growth, and I would be honored to walk with you on yours. Please feel free to reach out to me if you are ready to take that next step.
