Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Katherine, and I’d be honored to partner with you on your wellness journey. Whether you’re seeking support through life’s challenges or relief from difficult experiences you’ve had, you’re in the right place.
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and interactive space to care for the parts of yourself that are hurting or confused. My hope for you is that after working together, you are able to navigate your world with more insight, confidence, and balance. My style in the therapy room is warm, curious, and authentic. I practice with the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives, so you can also expect a collaborative dynamic.
My practice draws from a variety of backgrounds, including Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. I am also EMDR trained and can provide treatment for trauma symptoms. Some other things we can work on together include anxiety, depression, boundaries, burnout, identity, important relationships, life transitions, and grief. We can get curious about how certain thoughts, memories or behavior patterns might be making you feel down or holding you back. We can talk about what healthy boundaries might look like in your life, and what it looks like to live a self-led life. We can also take time to look inward and care for the younger parts of yourself that might be asking for help.
Some things that are important to me in practicing therapy include social justice, neurodiversity, and collaborating with other disciplines to promote holistic care. My practice as a therapist involves both providing therapy and participating in social justice efforts on behalf of clients. I am committed to being an anti-racist human and therapist, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
When I am not in the office, I love to be active, learn new things and be creative. I also enjoy exploring Austin, trying new coffee shops, and meeting new folks from all kinds of backgrounds. If anything on my page stood out to you, or if you’d like to work together, give me a call at 512-201-4501 x273, or complete the form. I look forward to speaking with you!
