Evelina "Eve" Matveyev, LMSW

Supervised by Mary Lynn Marinucci, LCSW-S

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! First and foremost, I want to commend

you on taking the first step of being open to therapy. Therapy is highly

stigmatized in our society and can be a scary thing to try, especially if you

haven’t been brought up to think of it as an option or if asking for help is

difficult for you to do. Let’s face it: life can be really, really hard. My job is to

collaborate with you and provide you with the tools to navigate it.

I love hearing my clients’ stories and honoring their unique identities.

Making sure clients feel safe and heard in our interactions is of high

importance to me. I strive to create an environment where empathy,

authenticity, and open-mindedness are at the forefront each time we meet.

No matter what issues or concerns are brought up in the room, I aim to

address them through a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, intersectional

lens. It’s a strong belief of mine that systemic issues are, often times, at the

root of why so many folks struggle with their mental health. It’s important to

me to validate how my clients are feeling, remind them that the trauma

they’ve experienced is not their fault, and provide them with hope for the

I have experience working with survivors of sexual trauma, intimate partner

violence, anxiety, depression, suicidality, homelessness, people living with

HIV, and the LGBTQIA+ population. I’m passionate about working with

individuals who are experiencing anxiety and/or depression, have a history

of trauma, are experiencing sex and intimacy issues, and are dealing with

life transitions.

When I’m not at work, I love hiking with my dog, going to comedy shows,

dancing, traveling, and trying new foods with my partner.

If you’d like to work together, please contact me at 512/201-4501 ext. 265.
