Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
Thank you so much for your interest and your curiosity in therapy. Whether you’re just wanting to learn more or feel ready to take the leap, you’re in the right place. Therapy is highly stigmatized in our society and can be a scary thing to try, especially if you haven’t been brought up to think of it as an option or if asking for help is difficult for you to do. Let’s face it: life can be really, really hard. My job is to collaborate with you and provide you with the tools to navigate it.
If we work together, you can expect to find a therapist who cares about creating a space where you can feel safe and be your most authentic self without judgement. Maybe you’ve experienced trauma or adversity, or you’re looking for a place to unpack the stresses from your day. Maybe you’re curious about exploring a new side of yourself, or you’re dealing with a major life change. Whatever the case may be, you’ll be met with acceptance, authenticity, and open-mindedness.
As someone who identifies as neurodivergent and chronically ill, I know it can be difficult to find affirming care. No matter what issues or concerns are brought up in the room, I aim to address them through a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive lens. I practice relationally and integrate different therapeutic techniques, because I don’t believe that there is a one-size-fits-all approach.
My clinical area of focus includes helping clients navigate the following:
-Sexual difficulties and/or exploring sex and sexuality
-Anxiety & depression
-Questions around identity
-ADHD and other neurodivergent traits
-Trauma (family of origin, sexual trauma, medical trauma, and more)
-Disability and chronic illness
-Life transitions
When I’m not at work, I love napping with my dog, hiking, going to comedy shows, traveling, and trying new foods with my partner.
