"Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The voice to let our true selves be seen." Brene Brown
Hey there! Look at you taking this brave step toward being the best and healthiest version of yourself. I see you!
About you:
If you’re looking to live your life more authentically, rediscover your happiness, and finally deal with the things that have put a damper on your day-to-day life, you have found the perfect place. Maybe your emotions are overwhelming and past traumas are making you feel so bad that it’s affecting your daily life, career, and/or relationships. Maybe you feel stuck and like nothing will ever get better. And maybe, even, you’re numbing out with substances or other activities. I get that! I would be honored to walk next to you on your journey toward healing and living the life you deserve.
My Approach:
My goal is to create a safe space free from bias, criticism, judgment, and harm; a space where you feel comfortable and supported, accepted, and allowed to be your authentic self and where I can present my genuine self to you. I want to help you achieve the healing you need at the pace that you need. I am understanding, caring, and knowledgeable. I am committed to inclusivity, anti-racism, and life-long learning and unlearning. I celebrate the humanity of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other oppressed communities.
About Me/Background:
My life has taken me on a fascinating journey, which has ultimately led to me pursuing my licensure in Professional Counseling. In 2004, I completed a Master of Education in Counseling and focused on Career Counseling. I worked in a very fulfilling role as the Director of Career Centers at State Workforce Centers and colleges/universities. In 2017, I decided it was time for a change and landed a job in a training department. That experience catapulted me back into the world of counseling.
