Specialized in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Congratulations on taking the time to choose Therapy Austin to invest in yourself, and your overall well-being. Whether you’re seeking therapy for the first time or reconnecting, I provide client-centered services, in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental atmosphere. I believe that most humans can benefit from therapy at some point, or points, in a lifetime. Therapy should be a safe space for you to explore and express yourself. I will meet you where you are, and support you in developing the skills you want to obtain, or maintain, for a life(style) that feels good on and for you - as determined by no one but you.

I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I’ve worked with a broad array of mental health needs, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, ADHD, CPTSD, crisis intervention & stabilization, and substance misuse. I’m trained in and provide trauma-informed care for individuals, within an applied family & community systems framework. I am lgbtqia+ & POC-affirming, and sex-positive. I’m most recently been certified in ACT Therapy (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), which engages clients in mindfulness and self-compassion-based techniques.

I have been a social worker since 2001. In that time, I’ve worked with an array of clients in various agency settings. I moved to Texas (Austin) in 2006, and I’ve been licensed as an LMSW since 2007. My education, training, and professional career are entirely specialized in mental health. I’m a longtime advocate for destigmatizing mental health, and I support your decision to invest your time and energy in therapy. I’m excited you’re here!

When I’m not social working hard, I enjoy spending time soaking up Austin’s amazing live music, sunshine on the trails, obligatory dips in pools or springs, and time with my 2 bully pups.
