“Breathing in, I am mindful that my heart is working night and day for me. Breathing out, I smile to my heart.” Thich Nhat Hanh
Sometimes things just don’t feel right and sometimes life’s problems are staring you in the face. It can be hard to trust yourself when this is the case, and I will work to engage with you in an open and intentional way to support you in exploring life’s challenges. I also support partners in relationships to communicate honestly, effectively, and safely.
I have experience in practicing and teaching mindfulness; supporting people though career transitions; developing self-compassion and self-understanding; and helping people manage and cope with anxiety and depression. I support people through their concerns by untangling the root causes behind them and developing coping skills and new perspectives. I am affirming of all gender identities, sexual orientations, religious backgrounds, and ethnicities. I also have a deep interest in issues around masculinity and the different ways it can mean to identify as masculine today.
My approach is to understand you in a meaningful way, develop a strong therapeutic relationship, and help you discover yourself and your capabilities for change and growth. Maybe there is something you don’t love about yourself; maybe you are realizing your job brings you no happiness; maybe you are even feeling distant to those closest to you. It can be difficult to know what to do. Let’s figure it out together. I hope to help you discover where these feelings come from and how you can understand them and approach them differently. We will work together to address issues in your life.
I work with people in relationships to hear and support each other in clear and trusting ways that deepen connections and strengthen bonds. Perhaps your relationship was damaged or maybe it has lost something over time. These are issues we can tackle and explore together.
Please reach out and we can decide if working together will be a good fit. Relief often begins at the first call. Sometimes we are hidden from ourselves and we stand to gain much though exploring those hidden areas with a compassionate professional who will guide, support, and push us.
