Clients can "act out" in dangerous ways to help manage their internal regulation. This training will focus on working in a harm reduction model for reducing self-destructive behaviors and facilitating better coping skills. This training will also focus on ethical dilemmas regarding "duty to warn" and behaviors that have a negative impact on the community at large.
After this training, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the self-destructive behavior and what purpose it serves
2. Establish a harm reduction protocol
3. Explore ethical dilemma related to self-destructive behaviors and the potential harm to others
