I see therapy as a process that leads to deeper understanding about one’s strengths and areas of growth. Therapy provides a safe place to process past events, work through relational issues, and explore options for change. It allows you to develop new skills and perspectives, which can aid in achieving new personal goals.

Therapy can be hard at times, and, I see the importance of also finding joy in the process. I help clients connect with joy in their lives by encouraging simple shifts in their lifestyle, and daily practices, that can increase positive emotions.

I have a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. I have received training in Family Systems Theory, Expressive Arts Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Dr. Brené Brown’s work in vulnerability, shame resilience. I have experience working in intensive outpatient programs for eating disorders, addictions, and other mental health conditions. I have also worked with children, adolescents, and families in a hospital and non-profit settings. Most recently, I’ve been leading family groups in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy at Seton Behavioral Health to support families while their teenagers are undergoing intensive outpatient therapy.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing volleyball, hiking, and doing yoga. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and young son. Together we like to travel, try new eateries in Austin, and spend time with family and friends.

If you are interested in working with me, please feel free to call me at 512/201-4501, ext. 190.
