Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by circumstances in your life. Maybe you want to feel more fulfilled in relationships or your career. Maybe the ways you cope with life’s stresses are undermining your well-being. Whatever the reason, I admire you for taking a step to ask for help.
I am passionate about helping people grow through life’s challenges and take steps to move toward the life goals and values that are important to them. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with experience working in hospitals, intensive outpatient programs, and university settings. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in management consulting for a variety of global clients for over ten years. While pursing my Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) at the University of Texas at Austin, I also worked as a career coach for the College of Liberal Arts at UT for three years, all experiences which have helped shape my abilities as a helping professional.
In my counseling experience, I have worked with adults ages 18 to 90 years with a range of concerns, including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, family of origin issues, sexuality, trauma, career/work issues, life transitions, and relationships of all types. My approach to therapy is informed by interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness, and modern psychoanalysis, and grounded in research-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). You can learn more about these approaches and how these may assist in our work together by clicking here.
In my free time, I enjoy taking road trips with my husband, loving any dog I see, and walking along Lady Bird Lake. If you’d like to schedule an appointment, you can request me on our Get Started page or call me at 512/201-4501, ext. 158. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
