Welcome! Congratulations on taking the first step in seeking support in whatever you are going through. Change is hard, but it’s something we all, as humans, experience. My hope is that through the relationship we build together you can learn more about yourself and find strength, skills, and courage to wade through the “yuck” that is sometimes life.

The therapy I provide is relationship-based, systems-focused, and trauma-informed. This means that building trust is the first priority in our work together. I aim at making our time together comfortable, safe and relatable so you feel empowered to grow and change. You don’t live in a bubble, so I am interested in the relationships and environment you grew up in, work in, and live in now. I have experience working with all types of trauma, and can work with you on healing past or current traumas. My ultimate hope is for you to know yourself better, so you can gain insight into your emotions, patterns of behaviors and strengths to live a healthier and more fulfilled life.

Because of my experience in crisis intervention, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I teach realistic coping skills to help you through day-to-day distress or overwhelming emotions. My training in Trauma-Focused CBT and Attachment Theory can assist you in “digging deeper” and exploring issues that may be causing stress in your life and relationships. I am excited to work with individuals facing a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, and family conflict.

A little more about me – I am originally from the beautiful state of North Carolina, and now love calling Austin home! In my spare time, you will either find me outside hiking on the greenbelt and enjoying Lady Bird Lake, or at a local music venue catching a great show. I earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. I am honored to have a career listening to others’ stories, and take great pride in my work.

If you think we may work well together, please reach out by requesting an appointment on the "Get Started" page or contacting me at 512/201-4501, ext. 184. I look forward to talking with you soon!
