There is a reason you came to this website, and I am so happy you did. You matter and you are worthy of feeling happy. There are times we forget that we have the power within us to feel fulfilled because the world has shown us differently.
What to expect in a counseling session with me: I have a realistic outlook on life, and through my own life experiences, I understand life isn't always kind, fair, and it can be pretty confusing at times. Life can feel lonely when you think nobody will understand what you have been through, and it feels scary to share at the risk of being judged. Let me offer you a place to come to each week where you feel welcomed and encouraged, and feel as though you can use our time together to explore yourself. You and I will sit down in a room for 50 minutes to talk about you, your frustrations, your desires, your vision of what you want to be different in your life, and anything else that you feel compelled to share with me. I offer you a safe space, a place to come to each week that is all about you. Maybe you would like to set goals for what you would like to get out of counseling and we can explore one life concern at a time, like unpacking a suitcase. The pace of the process is up to you. Any potential change, feelings of success, and well-being will be because of the effort you put in because you remembered you deserve it.
I am an active and engaged counselor, I will not simply sit and listen, nor will I offer you advice. I will challenge you to think in new ways, offer you compassion and kindness, and give you honest feedback. I will work as hard as you work, and I am ready when you are to get started.
I genuinely feel that we cannot go through life alone, we need support from one another, and that is what I am offering you. If you are wondering if I would be a good fit for you on your counseling process, to consult with me please call 512/201-4501, ext. 153. I look forward to talking with you!
