Welcome to my page! I am glad you are here. I know from experience that it can be intimidating to try something new or make a change. Kudos to you for taking the first step by considering therapy.

In my three years of counseling practice, I have worked with adults and adolescents on a variety of issues including childhood trauma, interpersonal violence and sexual trauma, general anxiety, social anxiety and performance anxiety, depression, giftedness and high sensitivity, grief and loss, challenging family-of-origin dynamics, and building healthy relationships.

I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing life transitions. These periods of change and growth – including emerging adulthood, career discernment, coming out, moving to a new place, pregnancy, parenthood, and shifting family roles – can be exciting milestones, but can also stir up feelings of uncertainty, fear, sadness and loss. I can help you hold space for these feelings and look into yourself to discover untapped strengths during these times of change.

I work within a relational framework, meaning that I believe the relationship we build together is the most important factor in the success of therapy. I also integrate my training in neurobiology and mindfulness. This means that during our conversations, we may stop and try mindfulness practices that can aid the nervous system in returning to a calm state, increasing the body’s sense of safety. It is my greatest priority that you feel safe and supported in our sessions, and we can take time to build a trusting, secure base from which to explore.

I consider it the highest honor to be entrusted with my clients’ stories and to walk alongside them for a portion of the journey to create meaning out of their experiences. I welcome, value and affirm the unique and diverse perspectives of each individual.

On a personal note, I am invigorated by my practices of running, swimming, yoga, cooking for my friends, and appreciating nature.
