Welcome! I am so honored that you are here and considering taking such a huge step towards health and wellness. Many people enter therapy feeling apprehensive about what to expect from the process. Whether it is your first time seeking counseling or you have had previous experience, I definitely understand that sharing vulnerable life moments with someone new takes a lot of courage. Together we will create a relationship that values openness and safety so that healing and growth can take place. My approach to counseling is very collaborative. Each of us has our own unique set of personality traits, past experiences, and family backgrounds that shape how we view our world. Therefore, I believe that only you can be the expert of your life. As a therapist, I empower clients to expand their awareness and take positive action in creating a more value-driven and fulfilling life through strengthening relationships with oneself and others. Through the practice of mindfulness, self-compassion, and courageous self-exploration and action, I walk alongside my clients as they embark on a journey that honors their authentic self.
I developed a curiosity and passion for counseling at a young age. I was drawn to the inner worlds of others and had an aptitude for introspection. With an approachable, patient, and intuitive nature, I quickly found that helping others through lending an open ear and a compassionate heart was my calling. I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling at St. Edward’s University and implement techniques and theories such as ACT, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Existential Psychotherapy, and the Gottman Method in my work with individual adults and couples.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and mini labradoodle, practicing yoga, traveling, cooking, and enjoying nature through hiking and camping. If you feel we’d be a good fit and are interested in scheduling an appointment, please call me at 512/201-4501, ext. 151 or fill out our online request form. I look forward to hearing from you!
