About Me


Hello! Welcome to Therapy Austin. My focus as a counselor is to offer a space for you to identify your goals and embark on a journey towards meeting them. This is a process that is different for each individual. Each of us is unique and we approach life’s issues through our own particular perspectives, created by our life experiences. Providing you with a space to be heard and validated is my goal. My approach could be described as person-centered, holistic, and collaborative. In the therapeutic process, I use a variety of interventions as they best match your need. In particular, I enjoy using Experiential modalities, Cognitive Behavioral techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.

As a mental health professional, I am comfortable working with a diversity of issues as I have worked within a range of settings including hospitals, schools, and private agencies. I have worked with individuals who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and a variety of other challenges. I want to help clients identify their strengths and manage life’s stressors.

A little more about me, I grew up in Austin and attended Austin schools, and have a deep appreciation for Austin’s diverse cultural and natural environment. Prior to working as a therapist, I enjoyed five years of employment as a teacher for Kinder, Pre-K and First grade children. I am married to a wonderful man who is an entrepreneur making his mark in Austin’s food world. Our children are three mutts rescued from Austin Pets Alive, and we adore them!
